All of the major travel agents and tour operators launch some of their best summer holiday deals in January, and 2014 is no exception.  This makes it one of the best times to bag yourself a summer 2014 bargain, so we’ve listed our top picks below. Many of these are voucher codes that can be used on top of the sale prices across each site but make sure you check all terms and conditions before before.

 

 

If you’re trying to stick to a very tight budget, you may find it cheaper to book the hotel and flights separately as there are some great deals out there with no limit on how much you have to spend. 

 

Throughout January you can get 10% off hotel bookings with our Hotelopia voucher code. We’ve also found a discount code running for Jet2.com which will give you 10% off all flights, which means immediately you can cut the cost of your budget break by a further 10% in total.

 

If you don’t want to use a budget airline, try FlyThomasCook as they’ve got a £30 discount on the price of your return flights when you submit the January voucher code at the time of booking.

 

 

 

Until the 10th January you can save £50 on any booking over £1,600 online at Thomas Cook. It’s redeemed via a voucher code (which are rare for Thomas Cook) and applicable to any stays from May to June so perfect if you’re trying to avoid the main Summer 2014 school holiday period.

 

A few other big players are also offering voucher codes on top of the sale prices, including lastminute.com with a £30 discount on bookings over £600. Unlike Thomas Cook, you can use it for any stays until the end of December so bag yourself an additional bargain travelling in September when the kids are back at school after the holidays. Lowcostholidays.com is running a similar promotion but with £20 off bookings over £600 across it’s selection of holidays.

 

If you’re planning on heading to Europe, check out easyJet holidays which is offering €50 of free spending cash when you book any holiday. The voucher code to get you the free spending money is valid for all stays from May to the end of September, so it covers the whole Summer 2014 holiday period.

 

 

 

If you’ve got kids and are planning something special this year, Disney is offering some once in a lifetime deals at parks in both Europe and the States.

 

At Disneyland Paris you can get up to 2 extra days and nights for free if you book in January. Any kids under the age of 7 can also go free, which means if you’ve got a young family you’ll just pay for the adults and get an extended visit for no additional cost.

 

Not wanting to be outdone, the original Walt Disney World in the USA is offering a whole suite of offers if you book your 2014 Summer holiday directly with them rather than through a travel agent. These include a 14 day entrance ticket for the Disney park for the price of a 7 day ticket, together with discounted holidays starting from under £750 per person for 1 week.
