This month we have a great easyJet holidays voucher code that has just been released and will provide you with a 4% discount on trips to the Algarve in Portugal.
The Algarve been a popular tourist destinations for decades due to it’s stunning coast line, temperate climate and variety of activities on offer. This ranges from a selection of golf courses for avid players to bustling nightlife, not forgetting some great beaches which are always in demand as the Algarve actually has more sunshine each year than California.
Looking for something lively?
Albufeira is renowned for being one of the main party towns in Portugal if you’re looking for a lively atmosphere, but still attracts families due to the attractive beaches close by and historic buildings across the resort. There’s also the marine theme park (Zoomarine) just a short drive out of town and a variety of activities for all ages such as crazy golf.
Prefer to get away from it all?
If you prefer something more relaxed try Gale which is around a 10 minute car journey away with it’s own beautiful beaches nearby and all the amenities needed such as a large supermarket, together with some great restaurants. You will need to hire a car though but generally it’s best to opt for one where you stay so you’ve got some freedom to get away from the resort.
History buff?
Portugal is steeped in history and you’ll be spoilt for choice if you enjoy taking a slow walk around ancient towns. A visit to the cobbled streets of Silves is a must as it was previously the ancient capital of the region, and still maintains parts of it’s heritage, including a medieval castle and bridge.
