Train tickets may be a constant cause for annoyance with the increase in prices making them less affordable for households across the UK. To offset this though, some companies are now offering fantastic 2 for 1 promotions on days out in London, which means you can save more on your overall day trip to London. We’ve cherry picked a few of the best so you can see how much you can save and where to book.



2 For 1 Zoo Offers

Sealife Aquarium London
Discover an array of underwater creatures and have get face-to-face with sharks and penguins. The standard adult ticket price is £20.70.


ZSL London Zoo
Take a trip to one of the oldest zoos in the country, home to over 760 animal species and the fantastic Tiger Territory exhibit. Prices start at £25 on the gate.


Battersea Park Children’s Zoo
Perfect for a family day out and located next to the River Thames,  you can get up close and personal with everything from lemurs and monkeys to meerkats and Shetland ponies. The adult price is just £8.75 before any discounts are applied.

Chessington World of Adventures

How to qualify for 2 for 1 offers in London

It’s extremely simple to get your hands on a variety of 2 for 1 admission tickets – all you need to do is book your train tickets online or buy at your local station and then present these, along with a printed copy of your chosen 2For1 voucher, when you arrive at the venue. The voucher can be selected at then downloaded directly from the DaysOutGuide.co.uk website.

What qualifies as a valid ticket
  • National Rail tickets – including Advance, Anytime, Off-Peak, Gatwick/Stansted Express, Travelcards
  • Any print at home or mobile tickets, showing the National Rail logo

How much you can save with the 2 For 1 London Offers

With most events starting at a minimum of £15 per adult ticket, you’ll save over £30 on a family of four alone if the children are under the age of 2. For theme parks, this will be in excess over £45, which really takes the cost down considerably and in some cases it may be cheaper to book the train tickets just so you can benefit from the 2 For 1 promotion. Make sure as always that you check the small print for the offer, as limitations may be in place such as it only being valid on specific days or times of the year.
