Take the headache out of nametags

Take the headache out of nametags
February 13, 2013
Every school holiday or half term comes the dreaded task of adding in any new name tags to clothing, at least trying to make sure that kids bring their own gym kit or school uniform back. For years it’s been a case of parents across the country either trying to find the most heavy-duty permanent marker to write the name in, or undertake the tedious task of sewing in labels on to every item of clothing.

When we were sent an alternative this week from My Nametags it gave us a glimmer of hope that this half term may be different from the rest. So what’s the alternative I hear you cry? It’s quite a simple, yet effective idea – sticky labels. These aren’t your standard labels and are guaranteed to stand up to the daily washing, - we’ve tested them and so far they’re yet to come off any items. As well as the colour stickers being able to be used on any clothing care label they’ll also stick on just about anything else, including everything from drink bottles (they’re dishwasher-proof) to scooters.

We’ve checked out the site to see how easy it is to create the My Nametags Colour Stickers and it can be done in just a few minutes. First you add in the text (3 lines available if you want to include a middle name), then pick a design with everything from flowers to pirates, before finally selecting a background colour or pattern such as camouflage. There are also various options to change the font and colour of the text so it’s completely personalised.

Currently you can get 56 sticky name tags for £9.95 (plus P&P), and so you can test out the service we’ve been given a voucher code for £1 off which is valid for the rest of February. This can be found on the My Nametags page on iLikeOffers and will then take you directly to the newly re-vamped site.

Please feel free to get in touch via the Contact page after you’ve tested for yourself, as we’d love to hear from you. Hopefully this brings an end to sewing during the holidays as well as hunting lost property every time something goes missing at school.
